Video-Rihanna-Umbrella Ft. Jay-Z
One word sums it up...FIERCE as Tyra would say. She brought it so hard that I had to fall back for a second. 'Good Girl Gone Bad' was definitely the perfect title for this video. Some people thought it was a very mediorce title, but now we have a clear piece of evidence of why she gave it that name. Rihanna also let the world know that she IS a trained ballerina and she never let those skills fade away due to stardom. Actually the video screamed ballerina in my opinion :D. Well, let me know what you thought. Whose video was better, Rihanna or Mya's?
VIDEO-Mya-Lock U Down Ft. Lil Wayne
I'm not really feeling it. It's an okay song but definitely not feeling it as a first single. I do love the beat though and also feeling Weezy's verse as usual on a track. Also I needed more dance scenes. I'd give it a C Mya, sorry baby.

Rihanna Post
'Hate That I Love You' Featuring Ne-Yo
'Umbrella' Featuring Jay-Z
Well if you all didn't know, I'm a big Rihanna fan. I'm one of millions anxiously awaiting the release of her junior album 'Good Girls Gone Bad' on June 5th. Many people are wondering why she is coming out with so many albums at once. Unlike Beyonce, who comes out with an album just for attention it seems, she has a large record deal. She signed to the Roc for a whopping SIX albums. Because of this, she's rushing to get through that deal. Does this means that she is trying break free from the Roc and Def Jam? Not likely seeing as her sucess is only growing there. She probably is trying to gain the flexibility of a normal recording contract. I would do the same. Because as clearly shown Virgin in the case of Janet, even a home that's been good to you can treat you like dirt. With that said, she wants to be able to run if she needs to. I belive Ms.Fenty has become very business savvy since she first came out and is doing her thing. What do you think? But here are two of her two tracks off the upcoming album, Umbrella (which most already have) and 'I Hate That I Love You' with Ne-Yo.
Marquess Houston-Veteran
What a great album!!! This is his junior effort for 2007 and I say he brought the heat. I didn't want to hear the single when it leaked a while back for some reason and let it go. At the time though I was really excited to see him trying to dig his way back to the music scene. The track that eventually caught my eye was "Like This" featuring Yung Joc. It took the ATL beats which I love and infused them with some actual lyrics unlike the standard trap music in Atlanta. Marques is so hot in my book because he's doing his own thing with a hint of Micheal Jackson...not overdoing it. Then the other tracks fell into place for me, especially "Holdin' Back" featuring Shawnna and Mya. Overall I'd give this album a 4.5/5.
I'M BACK...AGAIN!!!!!!!
I've been off the blog circuit for such a long time but so much has happened in the time that I was gone. Been working hard, I've had to go home to take care of my family and various other things. I stayed very current with the music as far as it went for myself but neglected my poor blog. But that's all about to change. Right now I'm truly back and ready to give many updates...whether you heard them or not.
This is where you all come in. My hand in html really bites at the moment and I need some help. I've started the reconstruction phase of my blog for the summer and now I am missing somehting. I am in desperate need of a banner and don't know how to do one really. Also I don't know the proper html protocol to post it up on my page so if anyone has any banner designs for the lair that would be great. Also I would need someone with the know how to help me with the proper html tags. I assure you all though this is about to be alot of fun again. Time to go let everybody know that I'm back.
