For Annie
For Annie. The song was in my August 10 post but my shoutbox was acting funny so I couldn't respond. I decided that Nivea is that good and should be moved here back to the front and done up with a new cover for your Ipod. I like the cover cuz it's so simple and she looks really nice. Enjoy. I'll be back later with a post of her latest with Weezy F Baby from the upcoming album "Animalistic."

I'll let you decide. I love it. Take that MTV and NFL. I'll upload the rest later.

Aaliyah Bit
If you'd like this song in my webjay...please click Aaliyah's picture below. It's called "Turn The Page" from the Music Of The Heart Soundtrack. It's a great song with great vocals. Enjoy all.
Aaliyah Dana Haughton 1979-2001
August 25, 2001 a tragic plane crash took the lives the passengers and pilot of a private jet heading back to the american coast. Among those who perished in the crash was a one Aaliyah Dana Haughton. An true heaven sent angel.
There has never been someone who impacted me quite the way this lovely woman has. She claimed all the was graceful and beautiful. Her album was on of the first.....no, it was the first album that I had ever listen to completely. She had me entranced from "Back and Forth" and never lost me when she made it all the way to "Miss You." Alot of people claim to like her after she died because she became an icon. Some of us however, loved her for the sheer fact that she was great. She was one of the most balanced artists ever to hit the stage. Where she lacked in one area, she definitely made up for in another. We'll remember her for a number of various reasons. Aaliyah was a producer, songwriter, singer, actress, icon, dancer, entertainer, sister and daughter. She showed the world that dreams do come true and we only need to try to reach them to get them. I will miss you (I will not say most of all, because I'm not the one who gave you life and only they know that emptiness) so much.
R.I.P. Baby Girl.
I Love Her
P!nk is one of the best artist of our time. She mixes R&B, grunge, rock, class and sheer attitude to create an unique personality with great music to match. This is one of those songs I felt compelled to share. It's from her album, "I'm Not Dead." It's called Nobody Knows. The special part about this version is that it's totally acapella. I just feel it's better and easier for you to hear her raw voice and to take in the lyrics. She truly is amazing. Enjoy
R.I.P. Aaliyah Dana Haughton --5 years ago we lost an angel. Aaliyah tribute post when I wake up...I've depressed myself with remembering this. I miss that girl.

Wow, George made two post in a row! LOL
Okay, I see you all like him, and Chris just gave me his myspace page. So what I decided to do was go there myself. I say he had way more tracks and I decided to do a grand rip of him music myself for you all. It includes three of the for tracks listed on his myspace player. I couldn't bear to sit through one, but if you guys would like the song...let me know and I might suffer for a bit for you all. This little three song package includes my rip of talk to me, without the little guy talking at the beginning. I think we'll be hearing a buzz from this one, so let me join in the support. I hope you all enjoy this. I'll like the track "Something Something" the most out of the three.
Tracklisting:
1. Talk To Me
2. Something Something
3. Hurting Child
Not to rain on George's post parade...but I can't get enough of Beyonce's "Irreplaceable." I don't like the album sampler so for me to have a song that I really like is good. As a matter of fact, I've let that little 29 sec clip run on repeat for an undisclosed amount of time. Silly B, your whole album should've been like this song. We we get older, our music grows with us...it doesn't downgrade (Pun very much intended).
Landed and grounded.
I just got back to Atlanta today y'all. Like I said, give me a second to get my life together and I'm going to really start bringing the heart. I was on that plane today and just felt so good...or as good as someone with aerophobia can get on that plane today. I having so much drama with Morehouse, the school I call home, already. I came to the epiphany that when you have a moment of happiness it temporarily washes the troubles away. But see that's the thing, IT'S TEMPORARY!!!! I was listen to "Saturday Love", "Square Biz", "Control", "Voyage To Atlantis" and "I Care 4 U" on the XM radio and just floated away. I didn't remember about school, what it was putting me through or any of current situation. But then it was time to land. I was like, "Damn, it's not time to land already...........is it?!" But you know what, when I realized that I could only be temporarily shielded from my problems until I conquered them myself, I was grounded as we landed. I know it might seem like I'm talking in circles and that I'm rambling, but there's a message I'm trying to point out. Don't run from your troubles, it only gets more stressful and makes you feel like less than you are. I'm still not straight with my school yet, but I'm able to face it with a renewed sense of vigor. I can only thank my God for that one. This does not just apply to those who believe in something, it applies to those who don't believe too. I don't care who you are, you have problems. Face them, no matter who you are because you never know what strength you may gain from your misfortune. I just felt compelled to write this. If only one person reads and gains something from this, I'll feel good and like I accomplished something. :D
So let's return to the music.
So let's return to the music.
George-Talk To Me
This is for the one's I say on Chris' page asking for this song. I actually have never heard of the guy and just got a listen to the song. It's very catchy. It'll need a minute to grow on me fully, but I believe it will. I'm glad there a still guys that feeling SINGING is something that's universal and not a job for Janet, Christina, Beyonce and the crew. I'm gonna do some research on this guy and see what he's about. I will say that if he wants to stick around, can he get a less common name? LOL

Song Review: SEX
I love So Excited. Many people are really hating on the fact that Khia is on the track. Well first off, let me say that she may be ugly, but the girls gotta flow. And her part is one of the reasons the song is as hot as it is. "Act Bad, Don't Hurt Me, Look Sexy, Talk Dirty!" Thank you Khia, I will be dancin' to your part like hell. But this is really got the throwback feeling that Janet was going for. But she comes with something fresh and new at the same time. I don't know what exactly it is new that she brings new but I'm so very hooked to this song. It's on the webjay and on a cd as track 1. I'm already waiting for a remix to hear Khia rap a full verse instead of being background. "Is you hungry? I got you licking on my body like it's something to eat!" Is another hot line that Khia brings to the song. Janet's verse's were hot bur I love her breakdown..."1, 2, 3..BREATH!" Her vocals are on point for Janet and all that is laid out on a tight fresh beack. She sampled a song called RockIt, but you know what? She isn't a Kanye, she made it her own. No offense to Kanye because I am a fan. Janet has done it for me and I'm glad because many people didn't think she was gonna bring the heat this time. Sorry folks, IMO, Janet can't be stopped. And for those of you who didn't know, she WILL be DANCING for this video. YES!!! I haven't seen a good Janet dance move in a while. I know she still has it. I give the song a 5/5.
Appreciative
I honestly didn't think anyone knew of or was coming to my blog. Then when I went to Chris-Pix, I saw I the most popular outgoing link. Why or how this happened is beyond, but it felt good. I honestly didn't think it could get better until I got a simple email from someone and I'd like to share it with you all.
hey whats up i love "the Lair" i especially love NIVEA!!!! my favorite
song from her was "Complicated"... but now it's "Tell me what you
want"..... thanks buddie... do u have a myspace?
That was really nice and I appreciate it. This is something that I JUST STARTED and I didn't imagine it getting any play this early or at all. So this is my way of saying thank you. If I lag in post for the next couple of day though, don't fret. I'm going back to school and need a bit of time. Actually my school is playing with me and my money, so I have to go and handle it in person. But once on campus, expect uploads and new buzz all the time. Also, I might consider getting a myspace...depending on how many actually come to my site. I'm not a myspace fan but I will if you all will like. LOL, I haven't done myspace since high school and even then, it was to keep track of a very dear friend of mine. But I digress. Thanx for the love and keep sending me mail, it's very uplifting to hear your thoughts.

Thanx you guys.....
Thank you guys. I just got started and I've become the most outgoing link in just two days at Chris-Pix (chris-pix.blogspot.com) Thanx Chris for adding me and thanx you all for coming to this new guys page.
My S.EX. HQ rip from myspace.
I'll be shot many ways to sunday for this, but hell. I don't care.
I know alot of y'all want this. It's B'Day.....but only a preview. Enjoy. I stick by my stance of hating Beyonce for real but I due give what she does a listen. I liked Dangerously In Love so I gave this CD a chance too. This album will not be what we got on the last album, but that's what you get when Beyonce does a whole album in just 2 weeks. There is one track that I believe that she needs to release to revive her declining career. The track is called Irreplaceable. This will be my track that will be on repeat. Enjoy it y'all. And don't come on my site either hating that I posted this because you know what? These are just clips so get over it. Damn, I've come across the Beyonce fanboys and they kill me, so protective of her. LOL O well. As I was typing, I just started to like another track, "Kitty Kat" Keep this B and get rid of "Get Me Bodied." This CD sounds like to many other people (i.e. Amerie and Kelis, see for yourself). For those of you who would not like to DL the previe, I'll post some of it in my webjay player.

Sammie-You Should Be My Girl
Really like this video and seeing Sammie trying to be grown up. It's a real fun video. I'll upload song for download later.
SEX....the one I'm posting and a change of heart....
Okay, I will be the first to admit, I hated this song after the premiere. But like I, Toya and alot of other bloggers say, I won't judge until I get the HQ. Well, JD lied and the song did not leak to the Myspace pages because he felt last minute that he didn't want bootleggers like m.....any other people to have it. Well, with the help of a friend at the Janet Jackson board, I give you the So Excited premiere...Chineseboy remix. There are like two parts where it is slowed down...on purpose. This is to eliminate JD's voice from the song. Also, the repeating at the beginning of the song is intentional. The edits are quite hot in my opinion. I love the song so very much now and hope you will too. I like this better than Ring the Alarm by Beyonce. O yea, the fanboys have retitled this song SEX (S.o EX.cited) and so shall I. Enjoy you SEX y'all! And o yea....please give credit where it's due. I've been looking at some of my favorite blogs and some of these wack people in these shoutboxes have lost their minds posing. Let it be known you got it here first. I'm not a credithead, I just want to get my blog out there like everyone else. I got a long way before I get on Etienne and Toya's level. So help a brotha out and cite me. :D
New Rihanna Track In HQ
I just learned how to rip music yesterday and I feeling that I'm pretty good at it. This was a favorite of my I could never find and decided to rip and share with all. This is a cover of Bob Marley's "Redemption Song" by Rihanna. I hope you enjoy like I did. She performed this on the Pepsi Smash Exclusive for launch. This song just further proves this girl is gonna be around for a while. Y'all know the deal, click the pic and go! Post on your sites if you wish but remember to give Mickeymouse from The Lair the credit LOL ;D Thanx.

Trina and Khia Beef
I'm really getting into the spirit of liking this new Janet and Khia song, "So Excited", that I'm posting something else related with Khia. To recap for those who didn't know...they beefin' lol. Trina invited Khia to be on her last studio album and Khia declined but publicly said that she'd rather work with Lil' Wayne or Trick Daddy. So what Trina did was she sampled Biggie's "What's Beef", one of my top three Biggie tracks, and snapped back at Khia. In response to that Khia came back with the track "Hit em up." Which one I like better? I'm not sure yet, cuz even though Trina just about got her, don't sell Khia short because she came wit it for a minute. She messed up with me because she was promoting her latest album. We don't do that when we beef Khia.... Anyways enjoy the
Movie Review...Old And New
Gosh....where to begin on this one. I stated in my profile that this is one of my favorite movies of all time. This was my American Beauty before American Beauty was even thought about. This is a very timeless tale about two brothers who are abused severely by the new stepfather everyday. The brothers, after deciding that they can't take the abuse anymore, decide to make a plane out of a Radio Flyer wagon and other parts. That's all I can say because if anyone is really coming to my blog (which I hope you all are starting to :D), I would really suggest you go and find this and watch it. Buy it, rent it, or download it if you have to. I'm going right now to buy my personal copy from amazon.com right now. This movies gets a 5/5.
Snakes on a plane was something I was dragged into seeing on friday night by my best friend Ashlee and my friend Doyle. I knew in my heart of hearts that this movie was going to be eternally stupid...and you know what? I was half right. The whole concept was already done in an italian film first off, so it lost points for creativity. What made the movie get the stars I gave it, were Sameul L. Jackson and Keanan Thompson. They were hilarious threw the whole movie. Also they girl who played Cher on the TV version of Clueless was in it. That was a treat for those of you who liked that show liked I did. But anyways I only can quote the movie for two funny parts. 1: "I'm tired of these MUTHAFUCKIN' snakes on this MUTHAFUCKIN' plane!" -Sammie J. and 2: "Turn left...left......TURN THIS BIG MUTHAFUCKA LEFT!!!!!!!!!" -Sammie again. That was his word for the movie and it was definitely hilarious. The video that plays during the credits is funny and you'll see why if you go see it. I suggest that if you go see this, bring you laughing partner with you or else you WON'T enjoy it at all. I mean, it was supposed to be a scary/action/thriller movie and it was far from that. O yea, I hated the main character too. His voice was a little off for me. I gave this movie a 3/5 for humor's sake.
Khia's back....or at least she was?
This song is entitled "Snatch The Cat Back." It's actually a very catchy tune if you were into "My Neck, My Back" when it came out. This is off her last album "The Gangtress" which just came out the 11th of July. I will get the whole album most likely and upload it if anyone would like it. It sold less than 1o,ooo albums because she had to release on her independent lable TME (Thug Misses Entertainment) after she and her label had it out. Time to take my butt in the bed now but I thought this might be nice for some since she will be featured on the new Janet single, "So Excited." Speaking of, that song was supposed to release on Janet's myspace page at midnight, but never did. I will try to rip it as soon as I find that it hit myspace. And if did you catch it on the album cover? All those are the mugshots that her last label viciously released to the internet after they dropped her. Asses.... It's also been reported that she lost over 50 pounds in an attempt to look sexier. I'll try to find some recent picks a little later.
A Unreleased Cassie Joint
This song is entitled Don't Go Too Slow. I have to say that this song is the shit. I believe it might of been on the UK version but hell if I'm going to go check. No, she's not vocally incredible, but she does really try on this track. This song is clearly for the grown and sexy and I can think of a couple of grown and sexy this I wanna do to this song LOL. Do I say give Cassie a break? Hell nah, chick better step her game up if she wants to stay around. The game is a cruel mistress. Enjoy this song because I am.

Huhhhhhhhhhhh, well I dunno
I've undercovered these tracks. Whethere I'm late or not I guess is irrelevant at this point. There are two new Janet songs in my webjay player and if no one has heard them...I'll upload them of a official post. If they are songs no one cares about...I still love the hell out of em. They are called Put It On Me and Pops Up. I think I heard of the Pops Up before, but I'm not sure. Anyways be sure to let me know so I can do that seeing as I have no time really but I like the people that come here. LOL
And shortly put....(whispers reallllllllll softly)...I kinda like Cassie. I don't know what it is yet. I'll be posting my new favorite track for her later. Just wanted to say hi and see how the world was doing. Get at y'all later.

Are we back to the correct era of music?
You know, the musical community is an interesting place for many reasons. One of the most interesting things the musical community offers is leakage. Alot of bloggers who do these music sites say it doesn't deter from albums sales. You know what?, I agree wholeheartedly. The ones who come to these sites, I would assume do what I do, and use the sites to preview and hear a song so that it may encourage them to support the artist with a financial contribution. I will admit, I never always do that as some artists need not be supported, but once again I digress....
This was all said because I went and copped the new Lyfe Jennings album, The Phoenix, while I was at Best Buy today getting some computer cleaner. I feel bad because I've been meaning to go get one of the best albums of the year, India.Arie's Testimony, and failed to do so but bought life. The only reason I haven't bought hers is because I want the Wal-Mart edition with the extra DVD that comes with. Yes, I'm a India head so I must have the CD. But anyways back to Lyfe. As stated, on Sunday I aquired the bootleg version of this. I ranted and raved about this CD as seen below. When I bought this CD today and listened to it I was wowed again. Lyfe has a sound and range that not many males (not like it's many around) can bring to the table at the moment. I'm a half Usher fan but he's not around and I completely despise Chris Brown (different story) so yes I love Lyfe what he's giving me now. Lyfe takes you on yet another musical and narrative joyride of his "lyfe" since 268-192. It's alot to hear and he refers to the last album so if you don't have 268-192, then go cop it. No I will not post the album up because I am really scared of Sony BMG music LOL. So my advice to you is buy is through media player of ITunes so that you can enjoy a wonderful album. I will be back with a full review later. I will also be extending this post a little later when I have time. Get back atcha!

In Other News....An MINI album review and a rant.
This dude is a genius. I just got the album and I'm floored. I already knew I was gonna buy it but as you will soon know...I have to be able to hear it first. Ms. Toya brought it to my attention that it was out there to grab, so I did. I think I'm missing a few interludes, but that's okay...I have em when I buy it. I have aquired the song Bigge Nigga a long while ago but never had a site to comment on it on. That was my single that Lyfe was back with a diamond record. He's my ghetto India.Arie! Hmmmmmm, I wish they would do a song together.
My favorite lines from the album are..."God thank you for making teflon down here..." and "breastfed by Godzilla, mixed my Similac with Cognac! Whoaaaaaaaa" I love this album. I noticed that Lyfe missed that 1 million records by a mere 25,000 records last time, well you know what? He going Platinum this time baby. Good luck to you Mr. Jennings, this album is a goldmine you're sitting on. I give this a perfect 5/5, the next person to get that will most likely be Christina y'all. If you'd like to see an in depth look, please go to Ms.Toya's page.
In other news...Beyonce will go ahead and release the song Ring the Alarm as the next B-Day single. Am I suprised?, not at all. It was leaked to hard and she doesn't want to get that much off schedule. I believe she's on a tight rope with fans and what she needs to deliver to them. They're pissed, but can you blame them? Deja Vu was the worst video in her entire videography. Like I always state, I hate Beyonce, but I respect her ability to give people what they want. Personally on a social level, I'd never want to be her friend, that Destiny's Child thing really just floored me. I do find myself grateful though because now we have LeToya Luckett as a solo artist and I got to know the sounds of Michelle Williams. My whole take on it was that Beyonce should've just went solo in the first place, I would've stopped a whole lot of ish. But anyways I'm seriously digressing on a tangent that only partially relevant to what I'm talking about. I believe this song has two big things in it for B. I believe she really does want to stick it to LeToya and she's trying to do it too fast. Secondly, did anybody beside E catch those lyrics? Can it be that she's talking about our little Bajan Princess Rhianna? I hope not because the color green does not suit Beyonce at all.

So much to say...so let me say it.
I love Nicole, former member of the Pussycat Dolls, she's extrodinary and I was a fan of her and the girls back in the days of Eden's Crush. She doesn't get any credit, but they were before O-Town so, I say IT'S YOUR TIME BABY! She is definitely good as a hook-ho (people who, when they become hot, are featured on everyones song in some way...most likely a hook) and doing it as a solo artist. She mad me enjoy say "It's Bad Boy Bitch!" I never thought I'd say that after Biggie died....insert foot here I guess. Good luck you Nicole, you definitely have the TOTAL package. Ummmmm PCD y'all...watch their new show, The Search For The New Pussycat Doll on this fall.
Why aren't we supporting Brooke Hogan? I know alot think she's a gimmick but she's actually very talented in my opinion. I used to believe alot of stuff is doctored up in studios, which I still do believe to a degree. But you can't make a horrible person sound like an angel (Ashi......I mean Cas........well Par....let me stop). You have to have some type of voice to work with like Ciara. I love her snng About Us with Paul Wizzle. I was floored when I put the name with the voice. LOL
Congrats to one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES...INDIA.ARIE!!! You went Gold baby! I would congratulate you even if you went negative double platinum LMAO. And for those of you who don't understand why won't ever probably get it, but like India says, "There's Hope." Her music just touches you from Acoustic Soul.....educates you on Voyage To India....and enthralls you on Testimony. I can't believe this is her third album and has topped these two very phenomenal albums. I knew its was gonna be good, but I was thinking this chick had to have a jinx somewhere. Once again, insert foot here. I love it India. And luckily for the listening world, she's releasing a fav of my, the cover of Don Henley's "Heart of the Matter" as her next single. I'm so proud of ya baby.
I've aquired a piece of the Kelis album but I will not post it because I am not feeling it....yet. But when the album does go out to download, I'll link it on my page and give credit to the one that does.
I feel real random and I'm about to go pop in Jamie Foxx's album. By the way? Where are all the real male singers? Condolences to Maxwell seeing as he was shelved, but he wasn't the onl male singer out there. Javier, can I get another album please? Damn.
And for those of you who can go get this song somehow....go get a copy of the song F.U.S.S. by Christina Aguilera...it's eeiry the ways she sings it. I agree with Etienne, it's about Storch. There was no underlying tone to me either. She sang it like that because they were knocking boots from here too high heaven...I'm so old souning.

Until Further Notice....
My shoutbox will be at the bottom, near my webjay. Speaking of Webjays....is anybody with filelodge music having trouble with that website, it's acting kinda funny on me. Let me know what's up.
A Lil Bit On Me
I don't find myself to be all that special, just a man trying to do what everybody else ain't do, and that's making it bigger!!! LOL Making it big wasn't and will never be good enough for me, guess it's cuz I like to think and dream big. I love food but yet I only way 166, there are many people in the world that hate me because of this. But anyways, I love music so much and I get a little offended on the inside when people say "So....what kind of music do you listen to?" and the other replies, "everything." What's wrong with that answer? O nothing at all. What I hate is when they consider 2 genres everything. There's stuff like R&B, Hip-Hop, Rap, Rock, Heavy Metal, Grunge, Country (which I love), bluegrass, Indie, and so much more that it can't continue. I'm not saying this to point fingers, but yet, I'm doing this to let people know that they might not be as eclectic as they think and they should embrace the world of music more. I love it and would love to help anyone who wants to dig deeper...Lord knows I still am. Let me leave y'all with my favorite random line for today...IT'S BAD BOY BITCH!!!!!!
Nivea Hamilton and Back 2 Christina
Nivea has a unreleased track called "Tell Me What You Want." Quickly said, I LOVE THIS FREAKING NIVEA SONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She nearly put me in tears, I guess it's because I broke up with someone and that's exactly how I felt. That damn Nivea. But click her pic if you'd like it.
Damn you Christina for becoming one of the musical geniuses of our time. And yes I called her this. I've been listening to the pieces of Back To Basics I have and I'm loving it. You've got my money Chrissy. I love the tracks "The Right Man" and "Saving Me From Myself." Christina, you about to shut em down again. And plus, I love this album cover so much more than the one they have now. This is what I'll be using when I refer to her on my blog from now on and when I use my media player.
So on the Christina matter.....
I've gone across the endless Oasis of blogs and see that no one is willing to put up this already leaked album. I'm only assuming that this is because it a BMG release and they are hounds and people want to survive in this blogging day and age. I would like to say that I'm not scared and post what I have of it, but I'm smart. Now, if anyone, would like to email the whole version to me that would be fine, but that's a different story. LOL But yes, is there any other reason people are relenting when it comes to sharing Christina's album? I'd love to hear some feedback. I guess this is the one album that bloggers feel would deter in albums sales if it were leaked. I believe that, from what I've heard of it, it shall be a masterpiece.
BTW, if someone really does want to share though, email me at tanko_2015@yahoo.com, that would be great.
O yea, I'm in business.....I hope
Well, you guys lookie hurrr. I'm up. This website is gonna go under much construction but for right now, I believe this will work. I go back to school soon so I can update and change at will. Etienne inspired me to post this first one so here it goes. This is a shout out thank you post to Etienne whom you all know. Thank you for inspiring me. Following him would be Ms. Toya. Great blogs you guys. It's the comprehensive Janelle Monae collection: The Pre-Show. I can assure you that I am the ONLY one out with a blog who has this collection or has it posted. This is the main reason why I have decided to share this. Some might ask..."o he thinks he's special." Well...no, luckily I just go to the school where Janelle performed ALL the time and always sold her albums. I was just a lucky kid at the right place at the right time and believe that all should here Ms. Monae's voice. I hope you enjoy. It's Not Fair is my favorite (smiling on the inside.). Click the pic and enjoy y'all.

Finally, the music. (Janelle Monae)
I love music and was inspired to do my own site so that I could share the good stuff that I have. I was inspired by a certain blog to put this up when I saw that Lettin' Go was on their Webjay list. Mind you, I've been a long time Monae fan and love all here pre-Purple Ribbon music and what she's doing now. So as my first order of business, I'm going to post the Janelle Monae Collection a little bit later. My favorite song by Janelle is "It's Not Fair." This is the song that caught me and still is the best song in my opinion. Get to know me you guys, because I plan to be around for awhile.
